The Seawolves could not keep the Central Washington University Wildcats at bay, losing 64-52 on Jan. 11, starting the new year with two consecutive at home losses. The Seawolves started out strong in the first half, quickly scoring 20-11 before the Wildcats sprang into action, scoring 20 points while only allowing the Seawolves 2 points for the remainder of the half.

Starting strong in the second half, UAA’s Hasaan Herrington scored 5 points, but then the Wildcats shifted momentum back to secure the win. This loss leaves the Seawolves with a 10-9 overall record and a 3-3 GNAC record. The Seawolves next game will be at home against UAF on Saturday Jan. 18 at 3 p.m., with the Women’s basketball team playing Western Washington University immediately after in the Bounce Back Charity event. The event is partnering with Just Serve Alaska to support Catholic Social Services Alaska and Clare House. Bring a donation of soft items for free entry.
