According to the event’s description, “Katie Scoggin is a singer-songwriter who began learning how to play the guitar at eight years old. Her music style is mostly indie-folk, with a mix of some country and pop. For many of her teen years, she performed throughout the Anchorage area, primarily at Middle Way Cafe, the South Anchorage Farmers Market, and the Anchorage Folk Festival where she hosted a Beginner's Guitar Workshop. Katie released an album called Eleven when she was 16 years old. Now, she continues to write songs in her free time and teaches private after-school guitar lessons to young children.”
