UCreate Media Camp is a summer camp put on by UAA’s department of Journalism and Public Communications in collaboration with Alaska Teen Media Institute. From June 5 to June 9, campers learn about audio, video and image production in addition to story telling and graphic design. The camp is being hosted by the College of Arts and Sciences at UAA.
UAA’s student newspaper, The Northern Light, is assisting in running the camp and hosting projects that campers make. You can see what the campers have come up with here.
My name is Kaison Postma and I am 13 years old. My passions/hobbies are aviation, flying RC planes, hockey, and baseball. I am a very athletic person and love to play sports. I currently play 4 sports: hockey, baseball, soccer, and golf. When I am not playing sports I like to be outdoors for sometime then go in like any other teenager and play video games. The game I've been playing the most is Gym Class VR on the Oculus Quest 2. It's a fun multiplayer basketball game. When I'm not playing this I just play other VR games or watch YouTube on my Xbox and sometimes play Roblox with my siblings. Going back outdoors I like to look for planes up in the sky or fly my RC plane. I really enjoy camping and fishing. I'm not the biggest fish guy but I'm the guy who catches the fish but doesn't eat it.
