UCreate Media Camp: Madeline Gration

UCreate Media Camp is a summer camp put on by UAA’s department of Journalism and Public Communications in collaboration with Alaska Teen Media Institute. From June 5 to June 9, campers learn about audio, video and image production in addition to story telling and graphic design. The camp is being hosted by the College of Arts and Sciences at UAA.

UAA’s student newspaper, The Northern Light, is assisting in running the camp and hosting projects that campers make. You can see what the campers have come up with here.

Biography

I am Madeline Gration. I like to make videos about my dog and nature. I also enjoy writing about the places I have been. I also like watching movies for inspiration for stop motion. I like to take photographs too, but mainly plants, birds and trees. Sometimes I create videos about the amazing wildlife in Alaska. I love to create things and do lots of puzzles.

My favorite animals are bees, moose, bear, and elephants. My favorite colors are yellow and red. I have one twin brother named Jack and a dog named Lizzie. I can play is the violin and piano. A few of my hobbies are sewing playing with my brother gardening and cooking as well as sports. I believe in helping people and keeping them posted on world events. When I am older I want to be a photographer and roving reporter. Right now I want to work at food banks so kids my age are not hungry. I also try to help puppies by going to PAWS for veterans.
